The Daily Californian: ‘An endless source of magic’

“Rama,” the name of a Hindu God, can be seen painted along the surface of a Meyer Sound building on Heinz Avenue. Artist Amrita Singhal hopes viewers feel their “existence as part of the universe” as they walk down the sidewalk, looking at the vibrant blue hues of “The Ramma Mural.”

“My Berkeley mural at Meyer Sound is about goodness and courage,” Singhal said. “It is an attempt to get  the viewer to feel immersed and at peace so they can become aware of their being within nature and the universe, if only for a moment.”
