Amrita Singhal is a painter and mixed media artist in Berkeley, California. Her artistic practice is driven by a desire to experience, explore, and express the poetic, the inchoate, and the universal—those moments and emotions that lie beyond the reach of conventional language, yet resonate deeply within the human experience.

Amrita’s work is represented in the permanent collection of the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA). She is a frequent participant in solo and juried group exhibitions, where her works are noted for their introspective depth and visual complexity. She has painted a mural (the Berkeley Rama Mural) commissioned by the City of Berkeley on the campus of Meyer Sound in West Berkeley, and serves on the Board of Directors of Berkeley’s Kala Art Institute.

Amrita is also creating a series of immersive works, blending traditional painting techniques with cutting-edge technology. Her exploration into virtual reality and digital immersives as a medium will offer an exciting dimension to her artistic vision, inviting viewers to experience her work in new and dynamic ways.
